Frey is about to message his dad when he hears his name.

It takes a moment for him to spot Felix Gallagher. But, well, the guy sticks out in a crowd like this. He looks all broody in the middle of these people just coming back from vacation. He sighed and pushed himself away from the wall, tucking one hand into his pocket while he shouldered his bag.

"Yeah. Can we stop somewhere and get some food?" He frowned, wrinkling his nose. "The food on the cruise tasted like shit." More like it was a buffet and people kept touching it. That, like, didn't seem as much like something the other might care about.

Sighing in a little huff, Frey glanced around the crowd again. This guy was kind of boring already. He wondered if he could find something interesting somewhere else.

"I don't know. I've never been to Hoenn. Just take me somewhere nearby." Before Felix Gallagher could get away, Frey tried to slip his arm around the other's. If he was going to escorted then the other would have to suffer for it.

"Do you, like, have a name? Or do they just want me to know you as the emo pickup guy?"

It smelled like old beef and hot grease. Frey wrinkled his nose. A quick scan at the menu board was still given either way, a finger coming up to press against his lower lip in thought.

"Two Big Bonkies, Large Fry, side of Onions Rings, and two of those little apple pie things." Maybe if Felix Gallagher was lucky that would even fill him up. He looked around, face still scrunched into a frown, before pulling away from the other.

"I'm going to the bathroom. Can you order?" He didn't even wait for the other to reply, making his way for the sticky looking door. He shot Felix one last, flat look before vanishing inside. If Felix allowed him to go, he would find he would waiting. And waiting. And waiting. Longer after the food had gotten done.

Jack shit.

Not real shit, since it was a bathroom, but other than one elderly gentleman who was fighting with the automatic sink the place was empty. No stall occupied, no green haired twinks hiding in the trash can. Just a semi-empty and stinking bathroom. Plus one window which was suspiciously pushed open.

Felix Gallagher would be the very first Hoenn Rocket to experience a neat little trick of Frey's. He was a fucking escape artist.

And Frey could almost feel bad. Almost. While Rocket had never bothered him, his dad was a high ranking Kanto Rocket after all, he just hated the idea of having a handler. He'd always bucked at being told when to do. Sneered at people thinking he couldn't do things himself. Independence was his biggest fault.

Having to be led around like a child insulted him, even if Frey didn't know why the hell Rocket even wanted him in Hoenn.

So Frey had dipped. He wasn't too far away, crammed into a little used bookstore, fondling the musty stacks. He wasn't trying to get away so much as he was trying to be a nuisance.
